Joshua Raven (Deathraven) was the brother of Jonathan Raven (Killraven), who had been thought dead in the gladiatorial arena. In actuality, Joshua had been taken to the Yellowstone Mercenary Sector by Exterminator Saunders, a human ally of the Martians who had killed Maureen Raven (the Raven brothers' mother), to be trained as an Exterminator himself. He can assume the form of a wolf, he has heightened senses, and the power of invulnerability.
