Rick Jones

• Also known as

Rick Jones was one of the first citizens of Mar-Vell's Realm of the Dead. He is one of the few humans with Destiny Force powers and he found a pair of Nega-Bands after leaving the Avengers, with which he could trade places with Captain Marvel in the Negative Zone. Rick was assimilated into Hydra, and he died while the Hydra took his body over. When Mar-Vell and Captain America go looking for a missing Nega-Band, they come across Rick, and Cap uses Rom's neutralizer to banish all the Hydras to Limbo. Rick's soul, however, lives on in Mar-Vell's Realm of the Dead, and there he eats a part of the Cosmic Cube, content to live in a fantasy of his own making where he is all-powerful Captain Hero, until Cap and the Avenging Host save him.
