Nakia Bahadir

Nakia Bahadir is a high school student at Coles Academic High School in Jersey City, and is a good friend of Kamala Khan's. Nakia also belongs to the same mosque as Kamala and her family. The two girls bonded over being a part of immigrant families and having names which are not characteristically used within their respective ethnic groups (Nakia is Turkish-American and Kamala is Pakistani-American). When Nakia was younger she went by the nickname 'Kiki,' but now that she is older and getting more devoutly Muslim, she doesn't want the "Amreeki" nickname anymore.
