Anatoli Knyazev has had his backstory remade by DC twice already: once for the New 52 in 2014, though he kept his alias, KGBeast, and more significantly in 2016 for DC Rebirth, where he was given a new alias, "The Beast", and a whole new persona who has his own private island where he hunts the enemies he captures to the death. This villain uses the symbol "666" and is hired by the villains of Gotham as a contractor. Batman launches him off a cliff during battle, but doesn't confirm The Beast's death, so his current status is unknown.
