Une fois devenu riche, Roco Vargas a pris sa retraite et habite dans une luxueuse villa à Montebahia. Il a repris son nom Armando Mistral, sous lequel il écrit des romans de science-fiction populaires et il est gérant du "Mongo", boîte de nuit populaire dans toute la galaxie. Entouré de sa secrétaire Rubi, de son serviteur martien Sanson et son robot Cosmo, il est souvent conduit à revivre des aventures cosmiques, contre son gré.
