Selinda Flinders and her brother, Baran Flinders, were bullied and teased by their classmates for being different. They would use their powers to combat their bullies, and they were subsequently driven out of town by the parents of those kids. In an attempt to teach them morality, the Flinders parents sent them to Markovia to learn some morals, but the lessons didn't take, and they both became villains.
