In the series To Love-Ru and To Love-Ru Darkness, Mikan is the dependable younger sister of Rito. She is an elementary school student, age 11/12 years old. Since their parents don't live at home, Mikan is mainly responsible for housekeeping and cooking. She is not an active participant in the major plot threads. She becomes the first friend of assassin Golden Darkness (Yami).
