In the Saquin tongue, Turok means "Son of Stone". John Fireseed was also known as The Forsaken One. He was active from 1972 to 1982. John was the son of Thomas Fireseed, the older brother of Carl Fireseed, and the father of Vivian, Joshua, and Alison Fireseed. Carl took over as Turok when John abandoned his obligation.
