Chad Graham's father was one of the officers responsible for the death of the first Prometheus' parents. When the first Prometheus comes to the Graham house to kill Officer Graham, he finds that the officer was already murdered by his eight-year-old son, Chad. Prometheus takes the boy under his wing. When the first Prometheus is trapped in a psychic prison by Martian Manhunter, Chad takes on the Prometheus mantle and joins The Society.
