Recorder 417 is a Rigellian recording android. He has a male humanoid appearance; the top and boots are green, and the arms and thighs are orange. Programmed to observe and record everything he witnesses, he was commissioned to accompany Hercules on his space odyssey. Hercules calls him Robby, a diminutive of a robot with the appearance of a first name. His official Rigellian name is indicated at the end of his first adventure with Hercules.
