Very little is known of the second man to go by the name Hercules. While it is clear that this red-haired hero is not the black-haired demigod once known as Herakles, who performed the legendary Twelve Labors, it is just as clear that he does have some relationship with the gods of Olympus, and thus with his predecessor. Hercules has used the secret identity of Tarkus in his own era, and has used the identity of Roger Tate when he visited the 20th century. Hercules has met Superboy, Lana Lang, Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor.
