Henri Duval

Henri Duval was a swashbuckling swordsman in apparently 17th century France. Although his documented adventures are few, texts detail how he saved the unnamed king from a gang of thieves and helped protect the king when a band of raiders descended upon an inn at which the king and his royal entourage were staying. Duval was last seen as a captive of the raiders, having been overcome by their numbers.
