Hardwich
the original Auro, Lord of Jupiter
- Also known as
Early in the 21st century, Professor John Hardwich was piloting a cruise ship somewhere between Uranus and Jupiter, with his wife and son as his passengers. His wife tires of cruising and asks Professor Hardwich to turn back to Earth. Unfortunately, a meteorite collides with the ship, sending it out of control. It is drawn into Jupiter's strong gravitational field and crashes, killing husband and wife. The young boy is saved by a saber-tooth tiger whom he names Tara. The tremendous gravitational force of the planet slowly turns his muscles to steel. When he is fully grown, he decides to climb a mountain to see what's on top. When he reaches the summit, he discovers the natives living on this world. The brutes attack, but he easily defeats them. They regard him as their new leader, calling him "Auro", which means "unconquerable" in their language. He soon becomes the Lord of Jupiter.
