Korvac

Michael Korvac was a computer technician on Earth-691 in the late 30th century (later the home of the Guardians of the Galaxy). When the solar system was attacked by the Badoon, Korvac became a collaborator and traitor. After he was turned into a cyborg by his brutal masters, Korvac turned on them and plotted to overthrown the Badoon Empire. Before he could do so, he became a pawn in a game of the Grandmaster of Earth-616. Before being returned to his own era, Korvac siphoned a portion of the Grandmaster's energies, increasing his power immensely. He later traveled back to Earth-616 in the 20th century, where he found the space station of Galactus. When he attempted to download the station's information into his own system, Korvac was imbued with the Power Cosmic and became a god-like being. Korvac decided to seek a higher purpose, and he set out to bring order to the universe.
