Asmodeus is the alias chosen by Charles Benton, a man of American origin and a doctor in Stephen Strange’s entourage. Having joined a group of worshipers of the demon Satannish, called the Sons of Satannish, he dressed in a red ritual costume. Like other worshipers, Benton was probably endowed with supernatural powers in exchange for his soul. As Asmodeus, he became the cult leader.
