Count Orlok

Count Orlok was a vampire from Transylvania who had chosen to move to the small town of Wisborg, Germany. Orlok hid himself in one of his coffins that was loaded onto a freighter ship bound for his new home. When the ship arrived at its destination, all aboard were found dead. Rats infected with the plague soon infested the town, forcing the local authorities to declare a quarantine. Orlok later preyed upon a woman named Ellen Hutter in her bedroom, but he did not know that she had set him up. During his feast on her blood, Orlok lost track of time, and was oblivious of the rising sun. When he heard the crowing of a rooster, he suddenly realized his mistake. Orlok was caught in the sunlight, which rapidly incinerated him, ending his reign of terror.
