Pamela Pierce, known as Artemis, is an Olympic gold-medalist archer recruited into the 50-State Initiative and assigned to the superhero team The Order. Using exceptional marksmanship and a specialized bow with titanium-tipped arrows, she proved herself in combat despite lacking superhuman powers. Her time with the team ended following a disciplinary incident, which removed her from active Initiative duty and led to her disappearance from the public superhero scene.
