James Wa, also known as Calamity (formerly Hermes), is a brilliant engineer and former college baseball star who lost both legs in a car crash. Using his own engineering skills, he built advanced prosthetic limbs and became a self-made millionaire. Recruited into The Order during the Initiative era, Stark-enhanced tech granted him superhuman speed, flight, and enhanced physical attributes. As Calamity he used these abilities on team missions against villains and Skrull infiltrators.
