Don of the Dead

The man who would become Don of the Dead was a former S.H.I.E.L.D. operative who had met Taskmaster while serving as a military adviser to the Mexican Armed Forces. The Don's alias and costume are references to the Day of the Dead, a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico; meanwhile, he and his men worshiped Santa Muerte, a Catholic personification of Death.
