With his friend Jeff Smith, girlfriend Bonnie Baxter, and her brother Corky, Rip Hunter used his time sphere to have many adventures in different eras in time. In post-Crisis continuity, the name "Rip Hunter" is an alias, used to hide Rip's identity from his enemies. He is, in fact, the son of Michael Jon Carter (Booster Gold).
