Keith Everet, the Earl of Strethmere, was a 17th century Irish nobleman who after his death had his ghost dwelling in a self-portrait in his castle, Cannaught Castle, until he possessed the body of Charles Collins, the bridegroom of the last of her descendants, Deborah Wallace. Collins was murdered in Cannaught Castle by Nazi saboteurs in World War II. After this, Everet took the alias The Gay Ghost to fight the Axis.
