The Roman hero known as Samson does not appear to be the biblical hero who was born somewhere between 1200 BC and 1000 BC to the Israeli tribe of Dan, although they may have some familial connection. Samson has used the secret identity of Merrio in his own era. He also used the alias of Mighty Youth when he was a teenager. Samson has met Superboy, Lana Lang, Superman, and Jimmy Olsen. Mighty Youth has met Superman and Jimmy Olsen.
