Roxie Hodder dialed H-E-R-O on an H-Dial to transform into random super-heroes. She found herself becoming overwhelmed by the personalities of the heroes she became, so Roxie created her own costumed identity, Manteau, which enabled her to keep focus on her own true self. Roxie later met Nelson Jent, another H-Dialer. When they also acquired an S-Dial, which enabled the user to transform into a sidekick, they agreed to alternate the use of the two dials.
