Alfred Benjamin Hunt

Alfred Benjamin Hunt was a pioneer in the Ben Day process of hand color work used in newspapers. He headed the color work department for the New York Herald comics and magazine sections for 28 years. Hunt worked directly with Winsor McCay on Little Nemo in Slumberland series, from its beginning in October 1905 until McCay joined Hearst’s papers in June 1911.
