Other biographical data: Paul Parker worked at 1010 WINS from November 1962 until his retirement on May 22, 1992—eight days before his 66th birthday. He primarily served as a street reporter and was most often heard during morning broadcasts. Upon his retirement, he was succeeded in that role by John Montone. Prior to joining WINS, Parker was a United Nations correspondent for Metropolitan Broadcasting (a predecessor to Metromedia Radio), where he was described as a “senior correspondent” in a contemporaneous issue of Broadcasting magazine. Earlier in his career, he hosted talk shows outside New York and worked as a freelance broadcaster locally, likely accounting for most of his radio activity during the 1950s
