Earle D. Chesney

Earle D. Chesney was a cartoonist and American government official. He served in the United States Army and Navy, reaching the rank of captain, and worked in the Veterans Administration and the White House. He created the naval cartoon character “Eggburt” and later specialized in veterans’ affairs on President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s staff.
