Grant Hargis

James Grant Hargis was an American illustrator, draftsman, and industrial designer. After studying art in New York, he worked as a freelance artist, creating covers for numerous Western, mystery, detective, and sports pulp magazines. Following military service during World War II, he resumed illustration before transitioning to a long-term career as an industrial designer, while continuing to paint landscapes and portraits.
