Tom Palmer

Tom Palmer was an American comic book artist best known for extensive work for Marvel from the late 1960s until the mid 2010s, inking series such as The Avengers, Tomb of Dracula and Star Wars, and collaborating with many artists considered among the industry's greatest including [Gene Colan](app://creator/4713), [Neal Adams](app://creator/9815) and [John Buscema](app://creator/6887). His work is noted and considered influential for its detailed, brushy and illustrative style. Born in New York City, he studied at the Art Students League, the Frank Reilly School of Art and the School of Visual Arts, before beginning his career with Marvel in 1968. Palmer also produced work for DC in the 1990s, inking flagship titles for Superman and Batman, and had a lengthy freelance career in advertising from the 1970s through the 1990s.
