Piet Wijn

Wijn started out young as a comic book artist, briefly working for Toonder studio's and then going freelance. He specialized in serials for weekly and monthly periodicals. He had already had a substantial career in comics when in 1975, he co-created Douwe Dabbert with writer [Thom Roep](app://creator/14928). In 1988 he suffered a stroke, after which he taught himself to draw with his left hand.
