Chris Scheuer

Chris Scheuer is an Austrian comic artist. He published his first work in the magazines *Schwermetall* and *Comic Forum* in the early 1980s. *Sheshiva*, Scheuer's first comic album, was published in Austria in 1983. His career went ahead with the 1984 Max und Moritz Award as best German-language artist. Scheuer was asked by Dargaud to work for *Charlie Mensuel*, which led to *Marie Jade* with Rodolphe, and later for *Pilote et Charlie*. He also created *Sir Ballantime* with writer Wolfgang Mendl. In the 90s he left the comic field, he worked on advertising assignments, including company comics and was active as a storyboard artist for television. From 2019 he adapted short stories by Matthias Bauer in the series *Reiche Ernte*.
