Renzo Podestá (born 1980 in Rosario, Argentina) is a comics writer, illustrator, and graphic storyteller recognized as one of the notable contemporary voices in Argentine historieta. Now based in Córdoba, where he has lived since 2009, Podestá has built a diverse body of work ranging from experimental graphic novels to genre‑bending independent comics. His acclaimed series El Aneurisma del Chico Punk, a project he both wrote and illustrated, earned him the 2018 Carlos Trillo Award, one of Argentina’s most prestigious honors for comic creators. Podestá has also worked internationally, contributing art to the U.S. market through Image Comics, most notably collaborating with writer Charles Soule on the series 27. His bibliography spans a wide range of independent and small‑press projects, including titles such as Ichabod Jones, Wormboy, JOM, and Oil of Dog, reflecting his interest in surrealism, punk aesthetics, and psychologically driven storytelling.
