José Ramón Larraz embarked on two careers during the course of his life, the first being a writer/illustrator of comic strips. He later left that field to become a film director of erotic horror films, shot in Great Britain and Spain. In the late Fifties he was employed by Opera Mundi, a French press agency that sold strips to newspapers and magazines.
