Daniel Haupt began drawing comics for Editorial Abril in 1949. He also drew covers and stories for Rayo Rojo magazine. He created 'Al y Dan' in 1952, scripted by his brother, followed by 'Hazañas de Tarpón' with scripts by Hector German Oesterheld. For Columba publishers, he drew 'El Hombre de Scotland Yard', 'Big Norman' (with Robin Wood) and 'Larrigan'.
