Oliviero Berni

Oliviero Berni attended the Accademia di Brera and the Scuola d'Arte of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan from 1952 to 1956. He completed his artistic training with studies in the field of abstract-geometrical art at Mario Radice's Art Studio in Como in 1965. He began his career as Art Director for the Fratelli Fabbri Publishing Group in 1958. From 1972 to 1980 he worked as an illustrator including painting the covers for the complete series of I Classici del Giallo published by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore. In the 1980's, he painted covers for German publishers Goldman, Heyne and Hohenheim and American publishers Ballantine, Berkley, Bantam, Dell, Zebra and Warner.
