Herman Melville

Herman Melville was an American writer best known for his novel "Moby-Dick." He began his career as a sailor, which deeply influenced his early sea-themed works. Though "Moby-Dick" was not widely recognized during his lifetime, it later became a classic of American literature. Melville also wrote short stories, including "Bartleby, the Scrivener," and poetry. His writing is known for its complex style, philosophical depth and exploration of human nature. "Moby-Dick" and other works by Melville have been adapted in to other media, including comic books, numerous times.
