Dorothy Urfer

Dorothy Urfer was a cartoonist who worked for the Newspapers Enterprise Association in the 1920s and 1930s. Her best known strip was Annibelle (1929-1936), which had an all female cast. She also worked on NEA's Radiomania in 1929 and 1930, following Joe King and Art Krenz. She also provided illustrations for different NEA articles and books. In 1935 she married fellow cartoonist Joe King. She apparently gave up cartooning after her marriage. It is not known where or exactly when she died.
