Anthony Hutchings studied commercial art at Southend College of Art, and became a freelance cartoonist and illustrator in 1977. He was a regular contributor to comic magazines published by IPC. He also created cartoons in Punch, Private Eye, The Daily Mail, The Daily Mirror, Men Only, Fiesta, Knave, and other magazines and newspapers. He is also co-author of a variety of cartoon books and worked as greeting card artist for Royle and Otter House.
