Jack Wohl

Jack Wohl was the author of the newspaper comic 'Pixies' (1966-1987) which was unusual in that it featured no actual characters, only numbers, letters and objects. It started as a daily in the Des Moines Register in May 1966. The Sunday page quickly ended, but the daily ran until December 1987. Wohl also did the strip 'Versus' (syndicated by King Features) from October 1969 to April 1973. He was assisted by Mel Crawford.
