Abraham Kuyper

• Born 1837-10-29 · Died 1920-11-08

Theologian, preacher, journalist, Kuyper was best known as a politician, eventually becoming a politician. Due to his beliefs and perhaps his appearance, he was a welcome subject for the political cartoonists of the day. Perhaps considering imitation the best form of flattery, or thinking the best defense is the offense, he wrote the foreword to a collection of cartoons of which he was the prime subject.
