Margery McKay Cridland

Cridland was a managing editor of the David McKay Company's comic book division from the late 1930s till the early 1940s and again in the late 1940s till the line ended in late 1949. She was the daughter of company president Alexander McKay; granddaughter of company founder David McKay; and wife of Charles Cridland, company Treasurer, who was in charge of their comics in the late 1940s. At some point in the late 1940s she became one of the co-owners of the company, together with her parents and paternal grandmother.
