C. C. Cooper was a comic strip artist for the Chicago Tribune in the early 1940s. He worked on the Fighting with Daniel Boone Sunday comic strip feature for the Comic Book Magazine (Tribune Publishing Company, 1940 Series). Comic Book Magazine was a special comic-book-style insert distributed by Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate for newspapers. He wrote and drew the feature for Comic Book Magazine from October 37, 1940 to April 4, 1943, when the insert folded. Fighting with Daniel Boone continued as a syndicated Sunday-only comic strip from April 11, 1943, to May 9, 1943.
