John G. Swogger

John Swogger is a freelance archaeological illustrator, specializing in finds and reconstruction illustrations for excavation projects, museums and for publication. He began working with comics in archaeology as part of his interest in the use of narrative in archaeological visualisation. He produced a comic titled "Archaeology in the Caribbean", which is used in schools, businesses, and museums on several Caribbean islands. Since then he has produced various comics for archaeological excavation projects, sites, museums, and more. In 2010, he co-wrote and illustrated a graphic novel about Autism/Asperger Syndrome called "Something Different About Dad". In 2019, John participated in the “Recovering Indigenous History Through Comics” panel at San Diego Comic Con.
