Helen Slater is an American actress best known for her portrayal of the titular superhero in the 1984 film, "Supergirl." Her other acting credits include portraying Superman's Kryptonian mother, Lara, on the television show "Smallville" and Supergirl's adoptive mother, Eliza Danvers, on the television show, "Supergirl." She also voiced Talia al Ghul in "Batman the Animated Series" and Martha Kent in "DC Super Hero Girls."
