Jason Medley
American comic book designer and writer. Jason Medley has been a part of in the comic book industry since the early 1990s. Jason began his career in the comic book industry first as a member of Michael Davis’ Bad Boys Studios (pre-Puff Daddy), then hired to the production department of Milestone Media, where he handled production and design on all of the Milestone books – Icon, Hardware, Blood Syndicate, Static (developing the standout title’s logo), Kobalt, Xombi, and Shadow Cabinet. From there, Jason headed the Production and Design department for Motown Animation and Filmworks and moved cross-country to Los Angeles, CA with the company. As a graphic designer/production artist in the industry, Jason has worked for Top Cow Productions (Witchblade, The Darkness, Wanted, and Rising Stars), Comicraft – where he was tasked to work on numerous Marvel Comics titles (Alpha Flight; Cable; Captain America; Daredevil; Deadpool, Fantastic Four; Incredible Hulk; Kitty Pride: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.; Marvel/DC All Access; Werewolf by Night; Wolverine and more). In 2007, Jason most recently handled design and production chores for The Guardian Line of comics for Urban Ministries, Inc. (UMI). During his time with The Guardian Line, Jason was also the writer for Joe & Max, an adventure series about a boy and his guardian angel that ran four issues. In 2015, Jason founded Urban Legends Media, LLC., an independent comic book publisher. The inaugural title for the company is the Reconstruction-era western Sheriff Wright which launched in February 2021. The fifth issue of the title is due by Fall 2026. From 2002 to 2023 Jason was an employee of Warner Bros. Studio, first in their in-house ad agency, Idea Place, and then as a part of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in their Creative Marketing department.
