Edouard-Michel Méroll Jr.
Édouard-Michel Méroll Jr. is a collective pseudonym conceived by artist Winshluss (Vincent Paronnaud) and the Les Requins Marteaux collective. This fictional persona embodies a magnate in the oil industry, renowned for amassing wealth through the innovative concept of a "2-in-1" oil suitable for both frying and engine lubrication. Within this satirical framework, the Fondation Méroll pour l'Art Contemporain (FMAC) has curated exhibitions such as "Un Monde Méroll" at Le Lieu Unique in Nantes in 2009, later showcased in cities including Bordeaux, Buenos Aires, and Montreuil. These exhibitions featured works by artists affiliated with the collective, including Martes Bathori, Blex Bolex, Cizo, Danny Steve, Guillaumit, Le Gentil Garçon, Moolinex, Morgan Navarro, Michel Pirus, Sam Rictus, Charlie Schlingo, Tanxxx, Amandine Urruty, Willem, and Winshluss himself.
