Ned Pines

Ned Pines was the publisher of the Pines grouping of companies, known as Standard Publications, Better Publications, Thrilling, Nedor, Pines, and Popular Library. Pines started Standard in 1932 publishing pulp magazines and from 1939 to 1951, was co-owner/publisher/executive director of the comic book line. He began publishing in Canada under Better name in 1948.
