Mark and Abby try to be supportive to both Darkblade and Amazonia over their forced separation. Abby has to consider changes at the bookstore, where business is declining. Amazonia sends her sister Oriana to take her place temporarily, but privately fears that it may be permanent if she is forced to become queen to succeed her mother.
