Synopsis
Dejected because her ex-boyfriend had found someone else, Pat was walking home after leaving a dance on Christmas Eve when she encountered a woman and her son who had been locked out of their flat. Mary's husband was in Scotland where he had just found a job after being put off six weeks earlier. Another stranger who came on the scene climbs the wall to get them inside. Later Roy and Pat independently get the same idea to share some of their own Christmas trappings with Mary and her son to brighten up their drab little room. Pat realizes she hasn't thought of Bob for hours.
