Synopsis
Paleontologist Scott Warden seeks the answer to a strange fossil and joins playboy Dudley Gaustad's treasure hunting expedition in the Amazon. Along the way the group gets mixed up with ex-Nazis and a prehistoric underwater creature.

Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide lists this as Movie Classic #12-142-410, but "Movie Classic" does NOT appear on cover. Indicia title is "THE CREATURE, No. 1."
This is the second printing, noted on the cover, and in the indicia with "REPRINTED BY POPULAR DEMAND." However, it has ads on the inside front cover, inside back cover, and back cover, unlike the first printing.
Changes from the first to second printings: Inside front cover: "Medusa the Gorgon" replaced by ad for "8 Exciting New Adventure Series Books" (Dell Seal Books with covers to "New Girl at Merrywhether," "The Gilead Bomb," The Anytime Rings," and The Coming of Flame" depicted).
