Synopsis

While being educated at a boarding school in Paris, Ruth fell in love with a man named Jacques, but he told her he had not fallen love with her. When she returns to London, her family attempt to fix her up with a famous writer, but she is surprised to discover that Larry is actually Jacques. Larry thinks it is time he started thinking of marriage and Ruth agrees to be his wife. Larry spends long hours working on a film script and often is seen in the company of actresses and other film people. Ruth finally decides she is going to leave him although she is expecting a baby.
